Internship positions open at Vox Camerata Limited (2026–2027)

Four paid internship positions are now open at Vox Camerata Limited under the Youth Corps Community Internship programme. Roles span community communications, programme research, and music facilitation. Up to $800/month, funded by the National Youth Council. Cycle 14 applications close 30 June 2026.

Vox Camerata Limited Internship Opportunities (2026-2027)

Vox Camerata Limited is a Singapore-registered non-profit working across four areas: advocacy for the arts, original research, community learning programmes, and musical practice. We run community engagement initiatives, produce research into the arts and its role in society, and create performance and education experiences that bring people from different backgrounds together. The internships below sit across all four areas of that work.

Four internship positions are now open under the Youth Corps Community Internship (YCCI), a programme funded by the National Youth Council. Applications for two of the roles close 30 June 2026 — six weeks from now.

The positions cover three distinct areas of our work: community communications, programmes (research and operations), and programmes (music) — with two positions available in the music programme. All four run for six months at a monthly allowance of up to $800.

What is YCCI?

The Youth Corps Community Internship places students from polytechnics, universities, and ITE with organisations in Singapore's community and social sector. Alongside the placement itself, interns attend weekly training sessions and community service programmes run by Youth Corps Singapore. It is a more structured arrangement than a standard internship — closer to a developmental programme than a work experience placement.

Community Engagement Intern
Cycle 14 | August 2026 start | Applications close 30 June 2026 | 1 position

You'll manage Vox Camerata's communications across a six-month period that includes multiple advocacy and community events. The work covers social media content, digital campaigns, press releases, newsletters, audience analytics, and participant testimonials.

The outcomes are specific: 20+ published pieces, 15% audience growth, and a communications toolkit the organisation keeps using after your placement ends. You'll write and publish for real audiences throughout.

What you'll need: strong writing skills in English, basic graphic design (Canva, Adobe, or similar), and interest in community arts. No formal arts background required.

Programmes Intern – Research and Advocacy
Cycle 14 | August 2026 start | Applications close 30 June 2026 | 1 position

This role covers event operations and the research behind them. You'll coordinate 6+ community events from start to finish — venue bookings, ticketing, participant registration, on-site setup — and conduct fieldwork to understand who attends and what they take away.

The research output is concrete: surveys with 30+ beneficiaries, participant journey maps across four events, budget tracking, and a written operations manual the organisation keeps using after you leave.

What you'll need: strong organisational skills, comfort with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and interest in community work. Arts experience is not required.

Programmes Intern – Music
Cycle 15 | October 2026 start | Applications close 7 August 2026 | 2 positions

This role is for pianists with choral experience who want to work in a community setting. Each week you'll accompany rehearsals and performances, lead vocal warm-ups, and coordinate logistics for community music events.

Vox Camerata's programmes bring together participants from different cultural backgrounds. Part of the role involves creating arrangements suited to intercultural performance contexts. Over six months, you'll sight-read 10+ choral pieces, assess rehearsal effectiveness through participant feedback, and work toward an 80% satisfaction rate.

What you'll need: Grade 8 Piano (ABRSM or equivalent), choral experience, basic notation software skills, and genuine interest in community music. Ages 17–25.

About the schedule — read this before applying

All three roles share the same working hours: Tuesday to Friday, 1:30pm to 9:00pm, and Saturday, 12:00pm to 7:00pm. This is not a standard 9-to-5 arrangement. It suits students with morning classes or other morning commitments, but it does mean regular evening and Saturday work for the full six months. Make sure this works for you before applying.
