Vox Camerata Chamber Singers

We are an auditioned vocal ensemble of 24 to 28 singers performing a cappella high art choral music in Singapore. We have been doing this since 2015.

What we perform ranges from Renaissance polyphony to newly commissioned works by Singapore composers. We are a creative home for local choral composers — which means our singers regularly perform music written for them, about their world, by composers in the room with them. It is not unusual for a Chamber Singer to premiere a piece at the same rehearsal they first read it.

Our Mission

We exist because we believe music can make a genuine difference. Every programme we build and every work we commission is in service of intercultural understanding — bringing people together across the lines that usually keep them apart.

The singers who belong here are those who want their voice to count for something beyond the performance.

The Commitment

We rehearse every Tuesday, 7:30 to 10pm, at Aliwal Arts Centre. There are paid performance opportunities a few times a year. There is no membership fee.
