Call for Singers: Musica Intimae – Intersections
Your voice is a story. Musica Intimae: Intersections invites professional singers to bring human experiences—love, memory, family, and loss—to life through intimate a cappella performance.
Vox Camerata invites skilled and passionate singers to join our upcoming socially engaged performance project, Musica Intimae: Intersections.
This unique ensemble-based project brings together voices and stories, weaving music around four human themes that emerged from an ethnographic study:
- Courtship
- Commitment
- Children
- Commemoration
The performance will feature unaccompanied choral music, sung one voice to a part. Each singer will be entrusted with an independent musical line, making individual artistry and responsibility central to the experience. Each selected singer will be remunerated for the performance.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking professional and experienced singers who are:
- Confident as solo and ensemble performers.
- Comfortable holding an independent vocal line without support.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to learn music on their own prior to rehearsal.
- Open to engaging in a collaborative, socially relevant artistic project.
Application Requirements
Applicants will need to:
- Prepare a solo recording (aria or art song).
- Recordings should be uploaded to either SoundCloud or YouTube.
- Links to the recordings must be included in the application form.
- Submit the online application form by Sunday, 7th September 2025, at 5:00 PM (SGT).
- The singers must be able to commit to all the rehearsal dates as follows:
